About This Leadership Role
This is not a traditional veterinary management position.

The Hospital Manager works closely with the Medical Director / Lead Veterinarian and the Barkera management team to ensure both medical and operational excellence align with our companys core mission:

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily hospital operations to ensure efficiency and excellence
- Implement and monitor SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Manage workflow scheduling and departmental coordination
- Ensure OSHA compliance and regulatory adherence
- Maintain high standards in client experience and hospital organization
Financial Management & KPIs
- Monitor veterinary financial metrics and KPIs
- Oversee budgeting and expense management
- Track revenue performance and cost control strategies
- Improve operational efficiency while maintaining medical quality
- Analyze reporting and implement data-driven improvements
Team Development & Culture
- Recruit train and mentor veterinary technicians assistants and CSRs
- Develop structured growth paths and leadership pipelines
- Foster a culture of accountability respect and continuous improvement
- Support conflict resolution with professionalism and emotional intelligence
- Cultivate a positive performance-driven team environment
Strategic Growth & Community Impact
- Support hospital expansion initiatives
- Align operations with proactive preventative care education
- Help build educational programs that serve the Broward County pet community
- Strengthen partnerships within Davie Weston Plantation and Fort Lauderdale
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Practice Manager or Hospital Manager
- Experience managing a small animal veterinary hospital
- Leadership experience in a healthcare or veterinary setting
- Strong understanding of veterinary financial metrics and KPIs
- Financial literacy and budgeting experience
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to professional integrity and operational excellence
Preferred:
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) designation
- Experience implementing growth strategies in veterinary settings
- Experience integrating progressive or integrative medicine models
