About the position:
As the DirectorofPublic Sector SolutionEngineering you will play a pivotal role in our organization providing strategic direction and leadership to our Solutions Engineering team. Your responsibilities will encompass setting goals defining the teams vision and aligning their efforts with our overall businessobjectives. As the Director ofPublic SectorSolution Engineering at our company you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and be a driving force in our continued successin the Public Sector andorganization overall.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage and develop a high-performing Solutions Engineering team including hiring and onboarding new members providing coaching and mentoring conducting performance evaluations and fostering a collaborativeteamculture.
- Partner with the Public Sector virtual account team to develop own and execute the Public Sector sales strategy across the presales technical team.
- Become an authority in our software and services solutions ensuring an in-depth understanding of features and benefits to effectively educate customers gain consensus anddemonstratevalue in addressing current pain point as well as uncovering future needs.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their unique challenges anddemonstratehow our solutions can effectively address their needs.
- Work closely with sales product development and other teams to ensure alignment and provide valuable input into product development based on customer feedback and market demands.
- Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the cloud security landscape that a customer needs to plan for.
- Travel - Must be able to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis.
Core Competencies:

- At least 5 years experience in senior solutions engineering or a related technology/SaaS role.
- Proven leader with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Understanding public sector market trends andhyperscalerproduct competition.
- Strong technical background in the relevant industry/product area.
- Exceptional leadership communication and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving.

The Salary Range for this role is$185000 - $ AvePoint we strive to offer competitive fair andequitabletotal rewards. The listed salary rangerepresentsa good faith estimate with final offers based on location experience skills and qualifications. The listed range reflects base salary only; our total rewards include base salary comprehensive benefits (medical dental vision 401(k) with match unlimited PTO) and depending on the role bonuses commissions or equity (RSUs).
