The School of Engineering and Technology has an outstanding opportunity for an Instructional Lab Manager.
The Instructional Lab Manager at the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) is responsible for managing and administering the Mechanical Engineering Program teaching and research laboratories. These facilities are used by students faculty and staff to carry out the educational and research mission of the University. The Mechanical Engineering discipline is continuously evolving with new technology. The curriculum requires that students devote significant amounts of time to performing laboratory experiments and design projects. The department plans to support instructional laboratories in Heat Transfer Fluids Materials Manufacturing & Systems and Dynamics & Design.
The person in this position must possess modern laboratory and computer-related skills to be able to create and integrate data acquisition systems and unique sensors with the demands of evolving technology possess a strong mechanical aptitude and have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
This position works closely with the Chair of the Mechanical Engineering Program and the Director of Operations to find solutions to complex problems consistent with the goals and needs of the School and in support of students academic success.
