Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) OB/GYN Full-Time Exempt Reports to: Director of HR and Provider Relations The Group Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists P.C. located in Davenport Iowa is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our well-established independent practice. We are one of the largest independently owned practices in the area since 1978. With a dedicated and talented team of medical professionals The Group is known for high patient satisfaction and excellent care. Our team consisting of eight physicians six midwives five nurse practitioners and one physician assistant emphasize collaboration and strive to offer quality and compassionate care to the women of the Quad Cities and surrounding areas. Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our private OB/GYN practice in Iowa. Under the collaboration/supervision of our OB/GYN physicians this role provides comprehensive womens health gynecologic care. The ideal candidate values continuity of care teamwork and patient-centered practice. Key Responsibilities - Perform patient histories physical exams and clinical assessments
- Order interpret and document diagnostic and laboratory tests
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with Iowa and national practice standards
- Monitor patient status and initiate appropriate interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians nursing staff and care teams
- Assist physicians as needed
- Provide patient education and participate in community or office education initiatives
- Maintain accurate timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Comply with all practice policies OSHA standards and patient confidentiality requirements
- Participate in meetings quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
Qualifications - Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science in Nursing with current NP certification
OR Physician Assistant: Masters degree from an accredited PA program - Active Iowa licensure (or ability to obtain)
- Prescriptive authority per Iowa regulations
- CPR/First Aid certification
- 12 years of womens health or related clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems Microsoft Office and email
- Strong communication clinical reasoning and teamwork skills
