This position is a key member of Councils health and wellness team within our aquatic centre and will be responsible for the delivering a safe enjoyable and hygienic facility to the community and user groups on the gym floor.
This position is ideal for fitness professionals who are passionate about health and wellness and eager to progress into a Personal Trainer position.
On a daily basis your main tasks will include:
Aboutyou
The successful candidate should have experience working with gym members in a similar facility experience working taking gym floor circuit classes with up to 20 members per class a passion for fitness and working with members to deliver high level customer service in a fitness looking for someone motivated to grow their career with a strong interest in advancing to a Personal Trainer position.
The successful candidate will need to have flexibility and willingness to work a 7-day rotating roster across the centres opening hours of 5:30am 9:00pm.
During peak periods there may be opportunities for additional hours to be provided however not guaranteed.
They will also need to have:
Certificate III and IV in Fitness
AUSactive National accreditation as a Personal Trainer
Current Australian First Aid (Level 2) and Current CPR Certificate
NSW Working with Children Clearance
Demonstrated experience in the Fitness Industry
Experience in working as part of a team in a health wellness or fitness environment.
Knowledge of fitness testing and exercise programming
Established networks in the sport recreation and fitness industry
Group Exercise Qualifications
Certificate IV in Fitness
