We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our India Payments team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java Unix and Oracle Database preferably with vendor management and communication skills.
As a Software Engineer I at JPMorganChase within the Payments Technology Team you are part of an agile team that works to enhance design and deliver the software components to the firms state-of-the-art technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As an entry-level member of a software engineering team you execute basic software solutions through the design development and troubleshooting of a single technical area within a business function while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for India payments business operations ensuring smooth and reliable service.
- Support and maintain India local applications including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Manage and follow up on incidents and problems related to Global Regional Applications and Local Vendor Applications.
- Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution service improvement and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions and enhancements.
- Document technical procedures incident reports and support activities.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills:
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with Java and Unix environments.
- Experience with Oracle Database and SQL.
- Experience in vendor management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good command of English both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
