Job Summary

The Senior Skills Intelligence Analyst brings advanced analytical expertise and business acumen to the Skills Center of Excellence. Building on the foundation of the IC3 role you will lead complex skills intelligence projects translate business challenges into analytical approaches and ensure our insights drive meaningful talent decisions. You will mentor the IC3 analyst collaborate with People Analytics on dashboard strategy and deliver executive-ready intelligence that connects skills data to business outcomes. This role requires strong analytical skills combined with deep skills domain expertise and ability to influence senior stakeholders through data storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Skills Data Analysis & Business Insights
  • Lead complex skills analyses that require deeper interpretation: comprehensive skills gap analyses by business unit skills adjacency mapping for mobility opportunities and ROI analysis of skills initiatives.
  • Analyze skills data to answer business questions: Which skills drive performance Where should we invest in learning What skills should we hire vs. develop
  • Apply statistical methods (regression correlation trend analysis) to uncover patterns and insights in skills data.
  • Forecast skills needs based on business plans and market trends identifying emerging skills and capability risks.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations that influence hiring learning and mobility decisions.
  • Benchmark ServiceNows skills composition against external market data and competitor intelligence.

 

Dashboard & Reporting Partnership

  • Collaborate with People Analytics to co-design executive-level skills intelligence dashboards providing domain expertise on data structures business logic and calculation methodologies.
  • Ensure skills insights are seamlessly integrated into enterprise workforce reporting while maintaining analytical rigor and business relevance.
  • Validate dashboard accuracy and ensure visualizations effectively communicate skills intelligence.
  • Create supplementary analyses and executive presentations that bring dashboards to life with insights and recommendations.
  • Support ongoing dashboard maintenance and enhancement based on stakeholder feedback.

Stakeholder Partnership & Communication

  • Partner with senior HR and business leaders to understand talent challenges and frame analytical approaches.
  • Serve as the analytical thought partner to Skills COE leadership translating business questions into analytical approaches and surfacing insights that inform taxonomy strategy governance decisions and skills-based initiatives.
  • Support Skills Advisors with data and analysis that strengthens their business consulting.
  • Present findings to Director-level stakeholders communicating insights clearly and recommending actions.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Learning & Development and Workforce Planning teams on skills-based initiatives.
  • Build credibility through consistently delivering relevant accurate and timely analysis.

Team Leadership & Quality Standards

  • Mentor IC3 Skills Intelligence Analyst reviewing work quality and providing guidance on analytical techniques.
  • Establish analytical standards and methodologies for skills gap calculations proficiency assessments and reporting.
  • Create reusable analytical assets (SQL queries Excel templates analysis playbooks) that scale across the COE.
  • Oversee data quality standards for skills analytics working with Skills Transformation Manager on governance.
  • Lead complex analytical projects from scoping to delivery managing timelines and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes decision-making or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools automating workflows analyzing AI-driven insights or exploring AIs potential impact on the function or industry.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data analysis HR Analytics People Analytics or business intelligence roles.
  • Advanced Excel expertise including data modeling statistical analysis complex formulas and executive reporting.
  • Experience with Tableau or PowerBI for dashboard collaboration requirements definition and validation.
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods (correlation regression trend analysis) applied to workforce data.
  • Experience working with HR data and HRIS systems (Workday SAP SuccessFactors or similar).
  • Business acumen to understand talent challenges and connect data insights to business outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to senior stakeholders and influence through data.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts.
  • Deep understanding of skills taxonomies competency frameworks or job architectures ability to translate taxonomy structure into analytical logic.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Statistics Economics Data Analytics or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow platform and understanding of ServiceNow data structures.
  • Familiarity with Workday HCM reporting and calculated fields.
  • Knowledge of skills taxonomies competency frameworks or job architectures.
  • Exposure to skills intelligence platforms (TechWolf Eightfold Gloat Fuel50 ServiceNow Talent Development).
  • Strong SQL proficiency for complex queries multi-table joins and data extraction from multiple sources.
  • Python or R programming for data analysis and automation.
  • Understanding of workforce planning concepts and AI/automation impacts on skills.
  • Background working in fast-paced tech companies or HR transformation initiatives.
  • Track record of successful partnerships with analytics/BI teams.
  • Masters degree or professional certifications in analytics or HR.

 

Technical Skills

  • Required: Statistical Analysis Expert Excel Tableau or PowerBI
  • Preferred: Advanced SQL Python/R Workday reporting ServiceNow platform skills intelligence platforms
