We are hiring Staff Nurse - Theatre into a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality respect caring and compassion are at the centre of all we do.
Key Responsibilities
Practice in accordance with hospital policies procedures legal requirements and NMBI standards
Deliver safe effective and efficient nursing care from admission to discharge
Complete accurate nursing assessments care plans and clinical documentation
Communicate patient information effectively using ISBAR during handovers and escalations
Liaise and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and hospital departments
Maintain accurate confidential patient records using approved documentation standards
Comply with medication management policies including safekeeping of controlled drugs
Perform IV cannulation in line with hospital policy
Demonstrate professional compassionate care aligned with hospital values
Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Work independently and take charge in the absence of CNM II
Exercise sound clinical judgment and escalate concerns appropriately
Follow established lines of authority and reporting
Manage stock control and ensure adequate departmental supplies
Mentor and support student nurses and new staff
Promote evidence-based nursing practice and quality improvement
Support hospital accreditation and quality initiatives including data collection
Deputise for CNMs and assist with staff planning and delegation
Requirements
- Be a Registered General Nurse
- Have completed a relevant Theatre Nursing course
- Have at least one years Theatre experience
- Have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment
- IT Skills is desirable
- A current Basic Life Support certification is mandatory for all Nurses.
