We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) to lead and support a nursing home team in NorthEast Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
Support the Director of Nursing (DON) in the overall management and operational leadership of the nursing home.
Act as a professional role model while mentoring coaching and supporting registered nurses and healthcare assistants in their daily clinical practice.
Monitor staff competence through observation spot checks and formal competency assessments addressing any identified development needs.
Provide day-to-day clinical guidance ensuring accurate assessments effective care planning and proper use of electronic care documentation systems.
Promote and coordinate person-centred evidence-based care ensuring residents needs are assessed planned implemented and evaluated appropriately.
Participate in governance and staff meetings contributing to service improvement quality enhancement and policy development initiatives.
Support quality assurance processes by conducting audits (care plans incidents KPIs) monitoring compliance with policies and providing constructive feedback to staff.
Assist in implementing risk management strategies monitoring health and safety infection control compliance and ensuring appropriate follow-up of incidents near misses and medication errors.
Contribute to safeguarding residents by promptly reporting concerns complaints or suspected abuse in line with policy and regulatory standards.
Coordinate and support staff education induction and continuous professional development programmes in collaboration with HR and senior management to enhance clinical standards and service delivery.
Requirements
Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) with an active registration.
Hold a post-registration qualification in management (desirable).
Hold a post-registration qualification in care of the older person (desirable).
Have a minimum of five years post-registration nursing experience preferably within a nursing home setting.
Demonstrate strong knowledge and practical application of HIQA Standards relevant to the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) role.
