Job Purpose
To oversee the end-to-end weaving production cycle-from yarn preparation to finished fabric-ensuring optimal loom efficiency minimal wastage and adherence to strict quality standards for garment manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Develop and execute daily weekly and monthly production schedules to meet garment delivery timelines.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor and improve loom efficiency machine utilization and fabric realization. Oversee specialized mechanisms (e.g. terry loop for towels or denim finishing).
- Quality Control: Implement protocols to ensure fabric meets international standards (e.g. GOTS for organic textiles) minimizing defects like harness breaks or filling issues.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise the setup maintenance and troubleshooting of Air-jet Water-jet or Rapier looms.
- Resource Management: Control costs by reducing yarn wastage and optimizing manpower deployment across shifts.
- Team Leadership: Train and mentor weaving supervisors mechanics and operators to improve skill levels and safety compliance.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with spinning dyeing and finishing departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Textile Technology or Textile Engineering.
- of experience in weaving operations with a proven track record in management.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of yarn counts blends and fabric construction.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning tools.
- Experience with machine erection and commissioning (preferred for new units).

- Problem-Solving: Ability to perform root cause analysis on production losses or quality gaps.
- Adaptability: Capacity to manage fast-paced environments and changing buyer requirements.
- Communication: Effective coordination with top management and external vendors.
