About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our Senior Catchment Performance Scientist you will be responsible for developing and managing systems to collect analyse and present spatial data that supports asset investment decisions across Seqwaters drinking water supply network. The role applies geospatial modelling visualisation and database management to optimise asset reliability efficiency and lifecycle performance. It provides analytical insights and solutions to inform planning and decision-making ensuring the safety and sustainability of water supply infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collect and integrate geospatial data from multiple sources ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Design manage and maintain asset geodatabases with robust data quality and security controls.
  • Create clear maps and visualisations and provide geospatial insights to support asset planning and decision-making.
  • Communicate complex spatial concepts to stakeholders and drive innovation in geospatial analysis and modelling.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering Geospatial Science or equivalent with a GIS specialisation.
  • Expert knowledge of Esri GIS software spatial data acquisition and geodatabase management.
  • Skilled in integrating spatial and non-spatial data and presenting it clearly to varied stakeholders.
  • Strong capability in data quality assurance database administration and ensuring data security.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a related role with proven technical and analytical expertise.

This position has a salary starting at $plus superannuation and is a maximum term contract for 24 months
