Otterbein in New Albany has an opening for a Maintenance Coordinator. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Coordinator is to assist in all phases of maintenance and grounds keeping tasks throughout the Otterbein Neighborhood. This includes completing assigned jobs related to painting plumbing electrical carpentry moving furniture mechanical and other general repairs. This is a full time position primarily Monday-Friday with rotating emergency on-call.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains a comfortable safe and secure environment for the residents their families visitors and partners.
  • Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks including general repairs plumbing electrical carpentry etc.
  • Assists with moving of residents furnishings as needed.
  • Paintsresidents living quarters as needed.
  • Assists with theon-going preventative maintenance program of cleaning repairing and operating equipment which minimizes abnormal equipment failure.
  • Assists withgrounds keeping weeding mulching and snow-removal.
  • Assists with maintaining documentation of fire safety evacuation plan fire drills disaster plan smoking policy fire alarm testingfire extinguisher maintenance and testing reports generator testing logs water temperatures flame spread ratings of interior finishes and other maintenance records.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Licensure/Certification: Holds a valid Ohio drivers license
  • Experience: General Maintenance - Electrical Plumbing and Carpentry Experience Mechanical Experience on H.V.A.C. Mowers and Vehicles.
