JOB DESCRIPTION: Estimator & Contract Administrator
Purpose of Role:
To support the Managing Director of a multidisciplinary consultancy firm with duties related to estimating contract administration and marketing. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years experience in similar roles.
Direct Reporting: Managing Director
VA Rate : 8-10AUD per hour (Negotiable)
Full time - 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates using the Rawlinsons Construction Cost Guide and Handbook.
- Perform quantity take-offs from PDF drawings.
- Undertake contract administration tasks including:
o Reviewing contracts
o Developing contract clause workflows
o Maintaining notification registers
o Drafting variation and extension of time (EOT) notifications
Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong knowledge of construction contract administration and project cost estimation (experience in Australia/New Zealand preferred)
- Background in residential construction (including low- mid- and high-rise buildings) and civil infrastructure (such as roads and tunnels).
- Understanding of contractual obligations and procedures
- High level of numeracy and accuracy in handling cost data
- High-level skills in contract administration within a construction setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and remotely.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
