Position Overview
The Family Law Litigation Attorney will manage a full caseload involving divorce custody child support spousal support and related domestic relations matters. This role requires strong litigation skills effective client communication and the ability to develop thoughtful case strategies from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Handle family law matters including divorce child custody child support spousal support and related litigation
Represent clients in hearings mediations settlement conferences and court proceedings
Draft pleadings motions discovery responses and legal correspondence
Develop and execute case strategies from intake through resolution
Provide clear compassionate and consistent communication with clients
Collaborate with paralegals and administrative staff to ensure efficient case management
Maintain accurate case files and meet all court deadlines
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Active license to practice law in West Virginia (or ability to obtain promptly)
2 years of experience in family law litigation or related legal practice
Strong legal research writing and analytical skills
Courtroom experience or comfort appearing before judges and mediators
Excellent interpersonal and client counseling skills particularly in sensitive matters
Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment

Strong negotiation and settlement skills
