Corporate M&A Attorney
About the Role:
This is not a back-office drafting position.
As a Corporate / M&A Associate you will play a central role in executing sophisticated transactions from initial structuring discussions through closing. You will work closely with partners and clients manage key aspects of deals and take increasing ownership of transaction strategy and execution.
You will be trusted to:
- Lead core components of mergers and acquisitions transactions
- Draft and negotiate purchase agreements and ancillary transaction documents
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate specialist input
- Interface directly with clients investment bankers accountants and opposing counsel
- Mentor junior team members where appropriate
- Handle multiple active transactions in a fast-paced environment
This role is ideal for an associate who wants meaningful responsibility direct client interaction and a pathway to leadership within a growing M&A platform.
What Were Looking For:
- 3 to 7 years of experience handling sophisticated M&A transactions
- Experience representing buyers sellers and/or private equity sponsors
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to independently manage substantial components of transactions
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Self-starter mindset with the desire and capability to lead deals
- Large law firm experience preferred
- Strong academic background required
- Portable book of business not required

Bar Requirements:
