Job Summary

Despatch Supervisor (with FLT)
per annum


Location: Birmingham City Centre

Type: Permanent Full Time

Hours: 39 hours per week (between 6:30am 5:00pm)



We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and experienced Despatch Supervisor to join their busy operation. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example while ensuring goods are prepared loaded and despatched accurately and on time.

A valid counterbalance forklift licence (or equivalent) is essential.


Key Responsibilities
  • Picking packing and preparing customer orders for despatch
  • Safely operating a forklift truck
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
  • Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensuring goods are handled and stored correctly
  • Maintaining a clean safe and organised despatch area
  • Using customer and supplier booking-in systems
  • Pulling correct work through internal systems
  • Supporting and coordinating despatch team members

Requirements
  • Valid forklift licence (counterbalance or reach)
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or despatch environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
