Job Overview

Pulse is now recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join the acute inpatient team at Leicester Royal Infirmary (LRI). This is an excellent longterm locum opportunity running until at least January 2026 with discussions underway regarding further extension.

The successful clinician will support adult inpatients with a range of communication and swallowing needs contributing to highquality patientcentred care within a busy acute setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialist assessment and intervention for adult acute inpatients
Manage a caseload including communication and swallowing disorders
Complete dysphagia assessments and deliver safe evidencebased management plans
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Contribute to service delivery and uphold high clinical standards

Requirements

UKrecognised Speech & Language Therapy degree
HCPC and RCSLT registration (required)
Experience working with adult acute inpatient caseloads (NHS or equivalent)
Postgraduate dysphagia training (essential)
Maskfit tested (preferred; can be arranged on arrival)
