Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Collections Coordinator for a long-term contract opportunity with our trusted client based in Halifax. This role is ideal for a seasoned collections professional who enjoys relationship-based follow-ups process improvement and cross-functional collaboration within an innovative and continually growing environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Follow up on all outstanding receivables in a timely and professional manner
- Issue demand letters in accordance with established internal policies
- Communicate with customers to discuss and negotiate payment plans for outstanding balances
- Liaise with internal legal teams regarding delinquent accounts as required
- Participate in testing and supporting new automation and system enhancements within the collections process
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- 35 years of experience in collections accounts receivable or a related finance role
- Comfortable working with property or financial management systems (experience with Yardi is an asset; training will be provided)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of integrity and professionalism in all interactions
- Detail-oriented organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive and adaptable with a willingness to support process improvements and initiatives
