Job Summary

POSITIONSUMMARY:

The YouthDevelopment Site Manager position supports the work of the YMCA of CollierCounty Inc. a leading not-for-profit organization committed to strengtheningthe communities in Collier County through its core focus areas of YouthDevelopment Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. This position is responsible for day-to-daygeneral administration of the Early Learning Kid Zone School Age Child Careand special event programs located on site. This includes total responsibilityfor all children staff supervision budgeting expense control incomegeneration program development and community relations and collaborations. Additionallythis position is responsible for the overall administration duties within theYMCA of Collier County Campus (site specific) Youth Development Department. Thisincludes (but not limited to) ensuring that the programs meet the higheststandards of quality possible following the mission of the YMCA andmaintaining state licenses and Organization and Initiative are critical in this communication between families and staff is of the utmost importance.


ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:

1. Knowledge of andmaintain state childcare rules and regulations and the components of quality childcare.

2.Scheduling and arranging overall staffing coverage if a childcareemployee is absent.

3.Conduct all staff orientations and onboarding training courses inaccordance with the organizations training policies.

4.Plan and facilitate monthly staff meetings and in-service trainingfor all center staff.

5.Work closely with teachers and counselors to ensure thatdevelopmentally appropriate lesson plans are implemented through curriculumsoftware weekly. This includes ensuringappropriate parent messaging is being exercised by all teachers.

6.Maintain accurate and organized records of children past andpresent by updating timely and managing daily filing. Records include but arenot limited to complete registrations and current physical and immunizations onthe Florida mandated format.

7.Ensure the safety and maintenance ofhigh-quality facilities grounds and equipment including keeping suppliesorganized maintain and clean facilities and care for equipment.

8.Promote and monitor membership and/or program growth taking aleadership role in membership cultivation and retention

9.Manage the Daxko database and complete all registration (Daxko)information immediately to streamline enrollments including draft set accurate ELC set-up prior when needed.

10. Oversee theCollections Manager weekly and initiate calls as needed to collect and inputoutstanding funds.

11. Manage theinventory purchasing and menus for snacks office supplies and generalsupplies for the program in coordination with the Youth and Family Director.

12. Complete weeklymonthly and annual program/impact/marketing reports when due.

13. Managing allaspects of the food program for Early Learning Department.

14. Assist inclassrooms and groups as a teacher helper or as a substitute when needed.

15. Effectivecommunication with other YMCA department staff of childcare and family serviceprograms for

promotional andinformational purposes to members and potential members.

16. Represent the YMCAand maintain relationships with other organizations in the community.

17. Effectivelycommunicate with and address parent concerns.

18. Set-up and conductTours and registration appointments for potential families.

19. Manage classroomand group rosters and waiting list effectively

20. Responsible forall daily health and safety issues for the program; serves as a resource forfamily health concerns/needs; ensure all program-level health and safetyconcerns are addressed and resolved.

21. Communicate tosupervisor and/or Youth and Family Director of any issues that arise that mayinvolve the following.

a. Incidents

b. Removal ofParticipant

c. Safety Issues

d. Staff Concerns

e. Staff Employment

22. Be familiar withYMCA mission policies and procedures.

23. Participate inYMCA programs and events.

24. Be anenthusiastic dedicated reliable and committed member of our team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelorsdegree in early childhood education School Age Care Child Development oranother child-related field; OR an associates degree in early childhoodeducation or other child-related field


Anational competency-based credential such as a CCP or CDA (required)

Meetall Department of Children and Family standards.

TheNational Administrator Credential (NAC) or an equivalent approved administratorcredential OR a course in early childhood administration or businessadministration OR one year of experience as the administrator of an earlychildhood program. Must be willing toobtain a DCF Directors Credential within first year of employment.

Documentedleadership training if not a holder of the NAC or an equivalent administratorcredential

Certificationin Infant Child and Adult CPR and Basic First Aid.

Completionof 45-hour child care course required by the State of Florida.

21years or older with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.

Holdand maintain a drivers license with reliable transportation.

Abilityto relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economicsegments of the community.
