Details of Research Project: Dr. Nakao will participate in a series of research studies characterizing the effects of different lipid-lowering therapies on coronary lesions using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). The responsibilities in this research will include developing study protocols creating and maintaining study database quantitative and qualitative image analysis statistical analysis and manuscripts preparation.

Educational and other Requirements for the position: Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) and previous research experience with first-author publications in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
Experience Required: Experience in Interventional cardiology and Intravascular imaging (IVUS OCT NIRS) and strong publication record in cardiovascular research.
Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project: The main goal of the research is to develop personalized approaches to treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease using artificial intelligence in order to improve long-term patient outcomes.
