We are seeking a skilled Project Support Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of capital works projects across our Australian sites. This role plays a key part in the successful installation coordination and governance of plant and equipment upgrades and is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a handson fastpaced project environment. A significant element of this role involves close collaboration with suppliers and equipment buying partners in China.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Supervising and coordinating the installation of plant and equipment on site.
- Managing contractors to ensure work is completed on schedule and to required standards.
- Leading all projectrelated safety requirements including inductions permits SWMS checks and compliance followup.
- Managing minor projects endtoend including scope development financial tracking and presenting Capital Expense Requests.
- Monitoring budgets and project expenditures ensuring invoices are accurate and paid on time.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation meeting minutes and project management tools.
- Liaising with our Chinabased equipment buying agent and OEM suppliers.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role youll have:
- Nativelevel Mandarin language proficiency (spoken & written) a nonnegotiable requirement.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline).
- 12 years experience in a similar engineering or project support role.
- Strong organisational skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel
