Whats it all about

The Senior Solutions Consultant EU VAS Acceptance Solutions will be a key expert within Visas European Value Added Services Acceptance Solutions and commercialisation team. This is an exciting opportunity focussed on improving solutions identifying opportunities and bringing to market a range of products across the payments ecosystem such as: 

  • Payer Interfaces (In-person acceptance digital acceptance secure payment credentials acceptance devices)
  • Payment Processing (global gateway card processing settlement orchestration alternative payments)
  • Platforms (Authentication onboarding maintenance billing)
  • Settlement and Clearing 
  • Fraud and Disputes

This senior role sits at the intersection of product innovation product management sales client management and sales engineering. It provides an incredible opportunity to join a team of high-performing solution managers while gaining organizational visibility and career growth. Every day we solve real-world challenges and utilize product innovation and commercial skills to design best-in-class scalable solutions for our European Acceptance clients (acquirers merchants ISVs).

The successful candidate must have strong product and commercial acumen data-driven strategic thinking great presentation and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to build fast rapport and credibility with stakeholders. The focus of the role is supporting the expansion of client-relevant Payer Interface solutions in key EU markets with a product and commercial mindset short- and long-term vision and backed by data.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines and will be equally comfortable interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders of various seniority level.

What we expect of you day to day:

  • Lead product strategies localising Visa Acceptance Platform for Europe to enable growth in priority and new markets gathering insights on regional competitive and regulatory intelligence activities to evaluate competitors activities and implications to inform regional solutions leads decision-making
  • Champion data-driven decisions for new product introductions and enhancements of existing products
  • Drive the delivery of new payment methods new solutions and product enhancements to generate revenue opportunities for acceptance solutions
  • Conduct market analysis and recommend strategies to leverage insights for product development
  • Identify design and submit business cases for new product opportunities
  • Develop Product Roadmaps to meet new market requirements and coordinate deployment plans with Global Product Management and Product Development
  • Advocate for designated products internally and externally maintaining constant communication with markets and clients
  • Drive Commercialisation and scaling of acceptance solutions portfolio
  • Manage the P&L of owned products utilizing strategic planning and analytics to grow the Acceptance Solutions business
  • Influence and track the adoption of key new strategic initiatives for Visa EU
  • Select and monitor performance metrics to assess product performance revenue scalability and longevity
  • Build and lead a high-performing team providing mentorship and development opportunities to team members while upskilling Visa acceptance teams and drive operation excellence
  • Develop sales strategies and collaborate with sales and business development teams to implement them
  • Develop value propositions for products or product suites and build effective offers for sales channels

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the London office.


Qualifications :

  • Senior level work experience in payments acceptance and/or acquiring
  • Experience in payment processing gateways merchant acquiring
  • Proven strategic and analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication skills keen interest in emerging payment trends and competitive landscape
  • Extensive experience in executing product adjustments and understanding of the European markets
