Covering a period of absence we are pleased to launch this opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to join our close-knit team for a period of 15 months.

Our TA team is split across two of our largest sites Heidelberg in Germany and Hinxton UK. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition youll join a vibrant and diverse group based at our Heidelberg campus who provide end-to-end support to their stakeholders. We truly value teamwork and in this role youll also have a valued voice within the wider HR team and our stakeholder groups alike.
As a Talent Acquisition Partner youll primarily focus on dry lab recruitment with computational biology at its heart. No day or Hiring Manager will be the same and we promise youll learn a lot!
Duties and Responsibilities
Partnering with a portfolio of Managers providing advice and tailoring talent acquisition strategies for replacements and new hires
Supporting managers drafting job advertisements tailored to the target audience
Organising interviews both via VC and on-site
Liaising with our travel partners to coordinate international travel arrangements
Marketing vacancies via various advertising and social media platforms
Representing HR as an interview panel member coaching on best practice and supporting managers draft competency based interview questions
Professionally managing offer negotiations and the explanation of EMBL terms and conditions
Partnering with HR Partners and People Advisors as a matrix team for your portfolio
Utilising our Workday HR system for the production of offers and employment contracts
Creating sharing and utilising talent pools where possible
You have:
Previous experience working at an Advisor or Partner level within Talent Acquisition
Competency based interviewing experience
Fluent English language skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A high level of customer service combined with a sense of urgency
The ability to effectively negotiate offers and attract the best talent for EMBL
Experience using an ATS
You might also have:
Workday experience would be beneficial
Experience recruiting within the life sciences or tech sector
Recruitment marketing and social media communication skills
French German or Spanish language skills

Hybrid Working: At EMBL we are pleased to offer hybrid working options for all our employees. A dedicated desk will be available everyday but most of our HR team choose to work three days on site and two from home. We have a team day once a week (on a Wednesday) and you can choose two other days to work on campus to suit you!
Contract length: 15 months (absence cover) with the possibility to extend thereafter
Salary: Grade 5 - Monthly salary starting from 4.03102 EUR after tax excluding EMBL pension and insurance contributions of 1299% plus generous benefits
