POSITION OVERVIEW
The VicePresident Brand Events & Partnerships (VP)is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the companys growth through innovative event management strategic partnerships effective field marketing initiatives and impactful branding strategies. This role requires a visionary leader with a proventrack recordin creating and executing high-impact eventsidentifying developing and fostering strong partnerships and relationships leading dynamic field marketing strategies and elevating the companys brand presence through creative campaigns and modern media approachesleveragingthe AI opportunities.
The VP leads a team of experienced regional and national partnerships and marketing managers branding professionals and events specialists all guided by the desire to build positive relationships with organizations strengthen the companys brand identity and create memorable experiences for clients and future clients.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for events partnerships field marketing and branding that aligns with BDCs overall marketing and businessobjectives.
Oversee the execution of campaigns digital transformation and creative content development.
Identifyandleveragestrategic partnerships increasing BDCs awareness and visibility advising executive team on key strategic partnerships.
Oversee a solid governance around the banks partnership management practice andmaintaina 360 view of all partners at BDC.
Build a regional partnership strategy in support of the regional priorities for enabling BDC to deliver more financinginvestmentand advice in collaboration with not-for profits membership organizations associations and regional financial institutions.
Work collaboratively with other BDC functions to develop andmaintainpositive relationships in diverse and underserved communities across Canada.
Lead the development and planning of sponsorship programs aligned with BDCs brand and business developmentobjectivesin its various markets.
Provide direction for the proper management of internal and external events to ensure smooth operation and maximize exposure (i.e. Small Business Week webinars etc.).
Oversee the planning and execution of results-driven multichannel marketing campaigns that support BDCs brand building and lead generation across the country.
Manage effectively in a partnership mindset our Agency of record; ensure proper understanding of corporate and business strategies and infuse innovation in ways of working and producing materials.
Work with the business leadership team toidentifydevelopand implement allappropriate marketingcommunications strategies and programs to achieve national and regionalobjectives.
Lead the development of performing marketing materials across all channels including emails apps presentations videos etc.
Ensure alignment of marketing campaigns with other communications initiatives to maximize impact (advertising lead generation public relations event planning).
Oversee the development and negotiation of effective partnership agreements including KPIs and terms of collaboration.
Establish andmonitorkey performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of events partnerships and field marketing data-driveninsights tooptimizestrategiesandtactics.
Lead and mentor teams of high performing individuals fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelors degree in marketing business or related disciplines
Fifteen years of business experience with a minimum of seven years in a senior management role
Extensive experience in event management partnerships fieldmarketingand brand strategy including the development and execution of impactful branding initiatives
Delivered high impact partnership results with experience at developing and negotiating partnership and sponsorship agreements
Highly effective relationship building skills including interpersonal networking; ability toleverageand communicate effectively with diverse audiences
Critical problem-solving and analytical skills
Impeccable businessjudgement
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communicationskills
Proficient in both official languages (English and French) verbal and written
