Job Summary

Join a growing well-established law firm in Bridgeport WV as a Family Law Litigation Attorney. Handle divorce custody child support spousal support and related cases from intake to resolution. We are looking for a client-focused organized attorney comfortable managing complex family law matters with both skill and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in divorce child custody support and other family law litigation.
Attend hearings mediations settlement conferences and court proceedings.
Draft pleadings motions discovery and legal correspondence.
Develop case strategies and manage cases from start to finish.
Maintain professional client communication throughout the case.
Work collaboratively with paralegals administrative staff and firm leadership.

Requirements:

Active West Virginia law license (or ability to obtain).
2 years managing family law cases.
Courtroom experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
Professional demeanor empathy and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with contested custody or support cases.
Mediation or negotiation experience.
Familiarity with WV family law statutes and procedures.
Previous law firm experience with billable caseloads.

Work Environment:

Full-time onsite in Clarksburg/Bridgeport WV.
Steady caseload with administrative and paralegal support.
Collaborative team culture with autonomy in case management.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
Bachelors degree required.
