Position Overview
Staff Pharmacist (Inpatient)
Staff Pharmacist (Outpatient / Retail / Ambulatory)
Clinical Pharmacist (Anticoag Chronic Disease Transitions of Care)
Lead Pharmacist
Supervisory Pharmacist / Pharmacy Manager
Location: California
Work Type: Onsite Locum Tenens
Compensation: Competitive hourly rates (role-dependent)
Classification: 1099 Independent Contractor
Schedule: Flexible (Per-Diem Part-Time Full-Time Contract)
Responsibilities
Staff Pharmacist (Inpatient / Outpatient / Clinical)
Verify and process medication orders with accuracy
Prepare dispense and oversee medication distribution.
Perform sterile compounding / IV admixture (inpatient)
Conduct patient medication counseling and education.
- Support clinical programs such as:
Collaborate with physicians nurses and care teams
Document all activities in the EMR accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Lead & Supervisory Pharmacist Duties
(In addition to standard pharmacist responsibilities)
Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations
Supervise pharmacists technicians and support staff
Manage workflow staffing schedules and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission CMS and California Board of Pharmacy standards.
Lead clinical initiatives policy implementation and quality improvement projects.
Participate in hiring onboarding and performance evaluations
Serve as the primary operational point of contact for leadership.

Requirements (Qualifications)
All Roles
Active California Pharmacist License (RPh or PharmD)
Strong clinical judgment and medication knowledge
Ability to work independently and in team environments
EMR experience (Epic Cerner Meditech etc.)
Inpatient / Clinical Pharmacist
Lead / Supervisory Pharmacist
2 years of leadership experience preferred
Strong understanding of compliance & regulatory standards
Proven ability to manage staff and operations
