Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Developer to join our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Region Build this role you will be responsible for designing deploying and maintaining compute cloud infrastructure services across multiple regions ensuring optimal availability scalability and performance. You will collaborate closely with engineering product and operations teams to create and implement advanced automation and monitoring solutions while driving initiatives to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain OCI compute cloud infrastructure and services across multiple geographic regions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning configuration and deployment using tools like Terraform.
- Collaborate with software engineers to build scalable reliable and highly available cloud-native systems.
- Monitor system health and performance using tools like Grafana.
- Be part of incident response to help removing blockers during the region build process.
- Continuously improve compute cloud infrastructure region build.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for critical infrastructure issues.
- Document operational procedures and runbooks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and roll out new cloud region builds and expansions.
Required Qualifications:
- Computer Science degree
- 8 years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Java.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools especially Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Restfull web services and Sprint framework
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience participating in or leading on-call operations and incident response.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience with microservices architectures.
- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker Rancher and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Hibernate and JDBC
- Experience with Agile Methodologies especially Scrum
