AOD Counsellor Fixed Term (to 30 June with potential extension)
Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS) is seeking a passionate and qualified AOD Counsellor to join our PHN Step Thru Care program supporting individuals and families experiencing alcohol and other drug concerns in our rural community.
This is a fixed-term position until 30 June with the potential for extension based at our new state-of-the-art hospital.
About the Role
In this role you will:
- Provide counselling and therapeutic support to clients with substance use issues
- Complete intake assessments and develop individualised treatment plans
- Facilitate therapy sessions crisis interventions and referrals
- Maintain accurate and timely client documentation
About You
You will have:
- Relevant AOD qualifications including core competencies
- Strong communication empathy and engagement skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- An organised reliable approach and commitment to quality care
