Job Description:
This position is for an Inventory Management Support role responsible for aiding the facilities parts/materials warehouse by managing inventory levels and spare parts. The candidate will oversee multiple functions within a warehouse setting.
Attention to detail and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role. The candidate will provide support to personnel across various shifts and management levels. They will work independently and collaboratively with a team to source parts order materials and maintain minimum/maximum inventory levels.
Essential Functions:
- Experience within Logistics including Warehousing Receiving & Shipping
- Experience within a production environment including material handling
- Understanding of inventory management practices
- Unpack material received and assure that it properly stored and all relevant transactions are done on the MRP system to show the location of the material.
- Interface with other departments as required ensuring control and coordinate for efficient material flow.
- Monitor of receipts issues and stock movements within the warehouse external suppliers and other L3Harris segments.
- Ability to climb stairs ladders bend stoop and lift 32 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant inventory management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related inventory management lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS office suite of products
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Working knowledge of warehouse control inventory control and related duties.
- Ability to analyze information gathered to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
