In CTP Insurance & Advocacy the work we do is integrally connected to our purpose of building futures and protecting what matters. Liaising across the CTP & Advocacy team this role is responsible for driving the CTP advocacy strategy across Suncorp and providing strategy support to the Manager CTP Advocacy and the EGM CTP Insurance & Advocacy.
As the largest CTP insurer in the privatised schemes across Australia with leading market shares or strong market shares across Queensland NSW ACT and SA Suncorp is well placed to advocate for reforms which ensure sustainable CTP schemes which are affordable for motorists and provide the right mechanisms to help people injured in motor vehicle crashes get back to work and life as quickly as possible. An important component of our advocacy strategy also entails prevention by driver education and promoting awareness of road safety as well as exploring future opportunities with CTP schemes that are currently Government underwritten.
Working closely with the Manager CTP Advocacy this role supports the design and the delivery of Suncorps CTP Advocacy Strategy and Roadmap as well as broader CTP strategic initiatives. The Advocacy Strategy and Roadmap will ensure alignment around the key areas of focus for advocacy identify the key stakeholder groups both internally and externally and the initiatives needed to help progress the advocacy agenda.
Partnering with key stakeholders within CTP Insurance & Advocacy and more broadly across Suncorp this role also supports effective leveraging of our Community Partnerships to further our advocacy agenda ensuring an aligned approach on the Prevention strategy with Motor portfolio and ensuring strong connection points into Suncorps broader Advocacy Strategy.
What youll do:
- Working closely with the Manager CTP Advocacy this role supports the design and the delivery of Suncorps CTP Advocacy Strategy and Roadmap as well as broader CTP strategic initiatives. The Advocacy Strategy and Roadmap will ensure alignment around the key areas of focus for advocacy identify the key stakeholder groups both internally and externally and the initiatives needed to help progress the advocacy agenda
- Support alignment and effective leveraging and promotion of our Community Partnerships to further our advocacy agenda
- Support aligned approach on the Prevention strategy with Motor portfolio and more broadly across Suncorp
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting CTP insurance and provide timely analysis and recommendations
- In conjunction with Manager CTP Advocacy and Manager CTP Policy & Regulation support engagement with regulators industry associations Government and other stakeholders to advance the organizations advocacy agenda.
- Lead the end-to-end SIRA Innovation Support process in NSW which encompasses supporting the identification of eligible innovation(s) preparing the application submission to SIRA regular monitoring and annual self-assessment of program progress for approved innovation applications
What youll bring:
- 5 years Strategy experience
- Experience with CTP schemes
- Experience developing advocacy strategies
- Demonstrated solid understanding of the general insurance industry
- Ability to leverages understanding of the external marketplace
- Demonstrated advanced understanding of commercial and customer drivers.
