Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has opened for you to hit the ground running at Pullman and Mercure Brisbane King George Square. Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth and strengthen market position.

  • As the Commercial lead for the property you will actively foster an inclusive and communicative culture grounded in collaboration openness to feedback and a strong desire to understand the on-property dynamics and broader hotel culture.
  • Securement of New Business and Account Management is key within multiple market segments focusing on increasing demand and conversion.
  • Provide leadership mentoring and coaching to the Hotel Conference and Events team as well as the proactive Sales Managers.
  • Lead the personal development plans of the Hotel Sales team whilst creating an environment of positive ongoing training and succession planning.
  • Liaise with the Accor National Commercial team to ensure hotels have access to key accounts and maximise any sales opportunities.
  • Developing Sales strategies across market segments and implement and monitor effectiveness of same.
  • Work closely with your team to ensure processes and productivity are continually improved to reach and exceed sales targets
  • Participate and represent the Hotel at key industry / trade events that will ensure an appropriate return on investment.
  • Have a complete understanding and passion for the Hotels Sales vision its products services and rate structure to fulfil business objectives. 
  • Maintain and grow the existing customer base to ensure their business is retained by building and developing relationships.
  • Ensure penetration of existing accounts to establish greater awareness of hotel and group products/series to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Identify drive convert and celebrate Sales new leads into business

Qualifications :

  • Previous leadership and sales experience preferably in the Hotel / Tourism sector.
  • You are results driven with a motivation to achieve both personal and team goals.
  • Youll have a genuine passion for selling memorable experiences to guests who stay in your property.
  • You enjoy leading growing and mentoring a team to be amazing and achieve groundbreaking results.
  • Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence in navigating various communication styles.  
  • Strong presentation communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and buy-in from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with a variety of market segments including conference and events corporate government and sport.
