Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a 13-week contract assignment in a family care clinic setting. The ideal candidate is patient-focused detail-oriented and comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role involves working closely with providers to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population including pediatric patients.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the last 3 years) as a Certified Medical Assistant in a clinic setting (Family Practice Urgent Care or Internal Medicine)
Experience working with pediatric patients
Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draws
Licenses & Certifications
Key Responsibilities
Perform preliminary patient assessments including vital signs height weight allergies medications and chief complaints
Greet room and prepare patients for provider visits
Administer medications and vaccines via oral injection topical ophthalmic rectal and inhalant routes as ordered
Draw and process blood samples; prepare specimens for laboratory testing
Perform routine clinical procedures including EKGs as required
Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up to ensure completion
Accurately document patient information test results and clinical findings in the medical record
Communicate care plans and test results to patients as directed by providers
Clean prepare and sterilize instruments; maintain organized and stocked exam rooms
Adhere to infection control safety quality assurance and regulatory compliance standards
Protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
Assist with front-office duties as needed and perform other assigned tasks
