This is an onsite role working at our facility in Hatfield PA. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities:

• Washes Glassware.

• Follows all applicable and required specifications and procedures insuring accuracy and compliance to test requirements.
• Ensures that the test equipment and instruments are functioning properly and in calibration prior to performing any tests.
• Assists with maintaining test equipment. This includes cleaning the equipment performing preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Informs the chemistry coordinator and manager whenever any equipment is found to be out of calibration or in need of repair.
• Analyzes and documents test results consulting with the coordinator or department manager as necessary.

• Inputs required data into results module accurately and on a timely basis.
• Seeks clarification when specifications or directions are unclear.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree (BS) from four-year college or university two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience and/or training in a chemistry laboratory / material testing or similar-type industry preferred but not required.
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Office and in general comfortable working on computer.
• Desired skills but not required: Combustion (LECO) Inert Gas Fusion (LECO) Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES/OES) and/or Inductively Couples Plasma (ICP) analysis.
• Other skills required: Mechanical aptitude excellent attention to detail ability to work well in a team environment to multi-task and to work intermittently in an up-tempo environment.
• Must meet citizenship eligibility required by accrediting bodies.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

This position requires use of information or access to processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export laws including but not limited to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
