DevOps Engineer

Design develop and maintain Terraform configurations for creating and managing GCP resources

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices

Automate infrastructure deployments and configuration management using CI/CD pipelines

Collaborate with product development teams to ensure smooth deployments and operations

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues

Stay up-to-date on the latest GCP and Terraform features and best practices

On top of that you can be asked to work on other value-adding projects for which GemOne knows and sees the potential it can bring to our own company and our customers but which is to date still a greenfield within our organization. Therefore you will be able to play a pioneering role in exploiting these greenfields. Aside from the above mentioned objectives you will also be able to learn from state-of-the-art IoT technology together with a joyous mix of high-potentials and well seasoned professionals.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years experience as a DevOps Engineer

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Bitbucket Pipelines Jenkins Gitlab CI/CD)

Scripting experience with languages like Bash or Python

Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles

Experience with a cloud service provider preferably GCP

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Healthy level of criticism i.e. not afraid to challenge the status quo

Proactive mindset spotting problems / challenges but also drafting the potential solution and acting upon it

Fluent in English

Be open to traveling to Belgium up to 23 times per year. Bonus Points

Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes)

Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus Cloud Monitoring)

Experience in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment
