This is a secondment / fixed term position for 12 months and can be based anywhere within Essential Energys operational footprint.

About the role

As the Service Transition Lead you will ensure that all IT services delivered through programs projects and major enhancements are introduced in a safe reliable and supportable way that minimises business disruption. Youll be responsible for managing the transition of new services into production developing support models and ensuring all governance processes and documentation are completed. This role is pivotal in engaging stakeholders driving operational readiness and ensuring a seamless handover of services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the transition of new services infrastructure and applications into production ensuring governance processes are followed.
• Gathering documenting and resourcing service level requirements for ongoing support.
• Developing end-to-end support models and operational readiness documentation for new services.
• Ensuring the Service Catalogue and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) are accurately updated.
• Leading stakeholder sessions to identify transition requirements and ensure high engagement and timely acceptance.

About You

You are an experienced IT professional with a strong background in service transition ITIL and project lifecycles. Your ability to build effective relationships influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities sets you apart. You thrive in dynamic environments are highly organised and have a passion for ensuring seamless service delivery and continual improvement.

To be successful you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar service transition role within an IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL ITSM and project frameworks.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including influencing and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on innovative problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma of Business Change Management or Communications
