Shift: Full India Night Shift (Supporting US Clients)
Shift time: (daylight saving time):> 7:30 PM to 4:30 AM// 6:30 PM - 3:30 AM

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Operations Manager with extensive experience managing large-scale teams of 150 200 employees in US HR Payroll Benefits US Payroll Tax compliance and staffing operations. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in working with HR Service Organizations and will have a proven track record of process implementation process optimization and workforce efficiency.

This is a work-from-office role in Chennai (no hybrid/remote option) operating in a full night shift to align with US business hours. The role demands strong leadership stakeholder management compliance expertise and an analytical mindset to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Lead coach and manage 150 200 employees across HR payroll benefits and operations.
• Create and implement staffing strategies to ensure optimal workforce utilization.
• Drive employee engagement performance management and retention strategies.

US HR Payroll Benefits & Payroll Tax

• Manage end-to-end US payroll ensuring 100% compliance with federal state and local payroll tax regulations.
• Oversee benefits administration including health retirement and leave programs.
• Partner with HR services vendors to optimize workforce delivery.
• Monitor and ensure accurate payroll tax reporting and filing.

Process Implementation & Optimization

• Design implement and standardize operational workflows for maximum efficiency.
• Introduce process automation and best practices to reduce errors and improve turnaround times.
• Maintain updated SOPs and compliance documentation.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal leadership US-based stakeholders and vendors to achieve business goals.
• Provide operational insights and performance reports to management.
• Manage escalations and maintain strong client relationships.

Reporting & MIS

• Develop analyze and present Management Information System (MIS) reports covering process metrics accuracy rates error trends and workforce productivity.
• Use data insights to improve efficiency and decision-making.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure full compliance with US labor laws payroll regulations and payroll tax requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in HR Business Administration Finance or related field.
• 15 years of experience including at least 7 years in managing large operations teams.
• Proven experience in US HR Payroll Benefits and Payroll Tax compliance.
• Expertise in working with HR Service Organizations.
• Strong understanding of US labor laws and payroll tax regulations.
• Proficiency in HRIS payroll platforms and data reporting tools.
• Demonstrated success in process design implementation and optimization.
• Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Mandatory: Ability to work full night shift from Chennai office (No Hybrid/WFH).
