Senior Manager Business Development (Government Business)
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager Business Development (Government Business) for our Events Division. This role focuses on driving growth across Central and State Government departments PSUs and Government-linked institutions.
Candidates with 12 years of experience in government business development within the events exhibitions or experiential marketing industry are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities :-
Lead business development initiatives across Government bodies Ministries PSUs and statutory organisations.
Identify track and pursue RFPs tenders EOIs and empanelments relevant to events exhibitions and brand activations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders decision-makers and consultants.
Understand government objectives and translate them into strategic solution-led event proposals.
Coordinate internally to develop technical commercial and creative submissions for bids and proposals.
Manage the end-to-end pre-sales cycle from opportunity identification to bid submission and closure.
Support contract finalisation compliance documentation and onboarding processes.
Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution.
Track industry trends government policies and upcoming opportunities relevant to events and exhibitions.
Requirements :-
Experience: Minimum 12 years in Business Development with a strong focus on Government and PSU business preferably in the events exhibitions or allied industries.
Industry Knowledge: Proven understanding of government procurement processes tendering systems and compliance frameworks.
Education: Graduate or Post-graduate in Business Administration Marketing Mass Communication or Event Management.
Preferred Skills :-
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.
Strategic mindset with the ability to position solutions rather than services.
Excellent proposal writing presentation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple bids and timelines with high attention to detail.
Self-driven and comfortable working in a results-oriented environment.
