Job Summary

Title: Database Developer

Location: New York City NY (10022)

Duration: Contract

Primary Skills:

3 5 years of strong experience working with at least one relational database (Oracle SQL Server MySQL). SQL Server and Oracle are preferred in Retail domain
Good to have support/dev JDA MFP (Merchandising financial Planning) or O9 MFP (Merchandising financial planning)
Good to have knowledge of any scripting language (Perl Python)

Key Responsibilities

Provide day today application support including troubleshooting break fix activities and system monitoring.
Implement approved enhancements configuration changes and data integrations to support evolving business needs.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across integrated systems; identify root causes and document solutions.
Work closely with business users to understand functional needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform unit testing and support QA and UAT efforts as required.
Maintain documentation on system interfaces mappings configurations and support procedures.
Support change management processes ensuring smooth deployments and minimal business disruption.
Partner with vendors to manage incidents and coordinate fixes or updates.
Stay informed on relevant tools technologies and best practices to enhance support efficiency.
