Description
This contract position is on-site and offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
As a Locum Cardiologist you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and contribute to improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations of patients with cardiovascular conditions
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology and best practices
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Strong clinical skills and experience in cardiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Compassionate approach to patient care
- Prior experience in a locum tenens role is preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 16 per day
Setting: Outpatient
Duties: Outpatient cardiology visits for new and established patients and supervision of diagnostic testing including stress tests and nuclear stress tests
No procedures required
Support Staff: MA nurse triage and patient service assistant
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
