This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for medical professionals to work on-site providing essential radiological services within a supportive medical practice environment.
As a Locum Radiologist you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images to assist in patient care. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services and contribute to improved patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze medical images including X-rays MRIs and CT scans
- Provide accurate and timely reports on findings to referring physicians
- Consult with medical staff regarding patient care and treatment options
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay current with advancements in radiology and imaging technology
- Contribute to the education and training of medical staff and students
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with valid state medical license
- Experience in radiology as an associate or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of imaging modalities and techniques
- Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-5p
Call: Monday-Friday (5p-7a) or weekends (7a-7a)
Duties: Diagnostic and interventional radiology services
Required Procedures: Biliary stents and drains percutaneous nephrostomy G-tube placement/change J-tube reposition/change chest tube kyphoplasty lumbar puncture etc.
Support Staff: PAs
EMR: Epic
PACS: McKesson Merge
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
