Job Summary

Job Description:

A Head of Civil Project isa senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all phases of civil engineering projects from planning and design to execution and handover ensuring they meet quality budget timeline and safety standards. Key duties involve leading project teams managing resources coordinating with stakeholders (architects contractors regulators) controlling costs managing risks and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Lead the entire civil engineering division or multiple projects providing technical guidance and strategic direction.
Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans budgets schedules and resource allocation; oversee daily operations from start to finish.
Team & Stakeholder Management: Supervise engineers contractors and staff; liaise with clients architects regulatory bodies and other departments.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to engineering standards quality control safety protocols (HSE) and legal requirements.
Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project costs manage vendor contracts and identify ways to optimize designs (value engineering).
Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential project risks develop mitigation plans and resolve issues as they arise.
Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports forecasts and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
Extensive experience in civil project management or leadership.
Strong understanding of construction processes materials and regulations.
Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
Professional Engineer (PE) license often preferred.
