Job Summary

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

The Sr. Engineer will work with the front-line sales forces and Customers Technical Representative at each account to improve the equipment reliability and decrease the Total Cost of Ownership by carrying out the following:

  • To provide Sales & Service support to customers in Saurashtra Region (both Jamnagar refineries) Kutch belt and Saurashtra region on companys product range.
  • Handling Service Centers independently inside customer premises and handle customer daily in and out plant activities.
  • To perform installation and commissioning of seals systems & couplings
  • To conduct reconditioning of seal system & coupling and recommend replacement/repairs.
  • To maintain customer plants record & drawings in proper order
  • To conduct seal system & coupling inspection with customer and provide technical advice.
  • Present company products & services to customer base and ability to provide training to customers
  • To liaise with CSE on the orders & sales status
  • To liaise with operation & engineering dept to provide after sales supports
  • To provide quotations on all inquiry under his responsibility
  • Reliability concept on RCA failure mode assessment recommendations and reporting
  • Reliability viewpoint on site tours preventative activities and recommendations
  • Gain understanding of systemic and chronic failures and develop plan accordingly to eliminate
  • Understand feasibility needs quantify benefits and prepare proposals
  • Upgrade & review installations make engineering proposals and optimize arrangements.
  • Data Management & Reliability data management trending analysis and reporting plant zchedules maintenance history upgrade plans and proposals. Contract KPIs as required.
  • Manage & understand contractual requirements accordingly.
  • Stock Management rationalization and cost control.
  • Supply Chain & Vendor/3rd party management and coordination.
  • Understanding & building relationships and developing intimate knowledge of people processes procedures and drivers
  • Form integral part of clients in-house team of reliability engineers maintenance supervisors and area managers.
  • Manage initiate and coordinate actions. Monthly internal & external reporting

 


Qualifications :

Skills and Experience

Education/Training: University Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.

Experience:  8years of relevant mechanical engineering qualifications and experience predominantly on rotating equipment applications and maintenance.

Knowledge/Skills: 

  • Extensive knowledge rotating equipments covering pumps compressors mechanical seals
  • Strong Commercial and Technical Skills.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Field exposure working at customer sites
  • Hands-on experience on Wet seals will be an added advantage.

Languages: Gujarati English and Hindi

Reports to: Baroda Branch Manager

Supervises: Service Engineer/ Technician

Work Environment: Work environment is typically considered an office environment during normal or extended business hours. However this role will be purely based at customer premises.
