The University of Tasmania is creating the National Centre for Training in Emergency Response and Resilience (NCTERR) a groundbreaking initiative that will shape Australias future in emergency and disaster planning. Whats Required

• Proven academic leadership with a strong record in team building mentoring and fostering excellence in research and teaching.
• Ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships across government industry community and academic sectors locally nationally and internationally.
• Distinguished academic track record in teaching and research with high-impact outputs and thought leadership in emergency response and resilience.
• Leadership in cross-sector collaboration and strategic program development to advance national emergency preparedness and resilience.
• Strong understanding of emergency response systems and resilience frameworks with a commitment to community engagement and impact.
• Doctoral qualifications in a relevant discipline such as paramedicine public health emergency management or disaster resilience.

Salary

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level E and will have a total remuneration package of up to $244987 comprising base salary within the range of $205285 to $209391 plus 17% superannuation. Relocation assistance will be considered for the ideal applicant.
