We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled ServiceNow Lead Engineer to lead the design development and optimization of ServiceNow solutions in a fully remote environment. This role is responsible for providing technical leadership driving platform architecture decisions and ensuring scalable secure and high-performing ServiceNow implementations aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate combines deep ServiceNow technical expertise with leadership mentoring and strong collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture design and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules
Provide technical leadership and guidance to ServiceNow developers and administrators
Translate business requirements into scalable maintainable ServiceNow solutions
Oversee development of workflows integrations custom applications and automation
Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices coding standards and platform governance
Design and manage integrations using REST/SOAP APIs MID Servers and third-party tools
Support platform upgrades enhancements and performance optimization initiatives
Collaborate with stakeholders product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
Conduct code reviews and ensure solution quality security and compliance
Troubleshoot complex platform issues and lead root-cause analysis efforts
Stay current with ServiceNow releases features and industry best practices
Required Qualifications
Must be located in the United States
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5 years of ServiceNow development and engineering experience
2 years in a lead senior or technical leadership role
Strong experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM ITOM ITAM CMDB HRSD or CSM
Proficiency in JavaScript Glide API Business Rules UI Policies Flow Designer and Script Includes
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations and data imports
Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture performance tuning and security
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow certifications (e.g. CSA CAD CIS)
Experience with ServiceNow App Engine Studio and low-code/no-code development
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments
Exposure to cloud platforms identity management or enterprise IT systems
