Transportation and Fleet Manager - Grafton WI
Primary Responsibilities
Fleet Management
- Manage daily fleet operations for Steel Blue Logistics.
- Oversee acquisition leasing and disposal of vehicles.
- Monitor fuel usage mileage and overall fleet performance.
- Ensure timely maintenance and compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Develop and manage driver schedules and assignments.
Transportation Operations
- Direct daily transportation activities including scheduling dispatching and shipment tracking.
- Plan and optimize transportation routes for efficiency and cost savings.
- Analyze freight spend identify inefficiencies and implement cost-reduction strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers 3PLs and freight forwarders.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics Business or related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of transportation industry and fleet management practices.
- Excellent leadership analytical and communication skills.
