Compensation
Hiring Range: $80200.00/annual - $113765.23/annual

Position Overview:
The Health Information and IT Supervisor oversees the Health Information Management (HIM and Information Technology (IT) functions of Tri-Cities chaplaincy to ensure the accurate secure and complaint management of clinical documentation and information systems. This position provides leadership for electronic health records (RHD) data security HIPAA compliance and technology operations that support patient care regulatory compliance and organizational efficiency. This role serves as a member of the Leadership Team and is designated as the agencys HIPAA Security Officer.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelors degree in information technology health information management healthcare administration or a related field; or willingness to obtain a bachelors degree in one of the listed areas within four (4) years of hire.
2. Experience is sufficient to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
3. Knowledge of or ability to learn HIPAA CMS and healthcare documentation requirements.
4. Demonstration proficiency with computers and smart devices including laptops tablets smartphones and common office software (e.g. email calendars document management and web-based applications.
5. Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to everyday technology use.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
7. Ability to learn and effectively use new software systems including electronic health records (EHR) and information technology platforms.
8. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license as driving is an essential function of this role. Must meet insurance eligibility requirements.
9. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to independently drive within Tri-Cities Chaplaincys service areas.
10. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.
11. Ability to report to the assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent reliable attendance.
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
2. Experience in hospice healthcare or other highly regulated environments.
3. Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
4. Prior experience in information security IT coordination or health information management.
5. Experience working with managed service providers or external vendors.

6. Screenings: Pass criminal background and drug screenings.

8. Training and Orientation: Complete agency and departmental orientation and required training programs.
9. Continuing Education: Complete ongoing education policy reviews and training by designated deadlines.
10. Licensure and Certification: Maintain current licensure(s) and certifications(s) required for the role.
