Jardeg is recruiting for a Heavy Duty Mechanic 4th Year Apprenticefor upcoming work at the Saskatoon Shop and Yard located inSaskatoon Saskatchewan. The schedule for this position is 5 days on 2 days off day shiftworking 8-10 hours per day.Please note there is no LOA or Travel offered. Candidates local to Saskatoon area will be considered.

The Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice maintains repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment. Heavy lifting is required.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance and repair of heavy equipment may include:

Hands on maintenance and repairs of all equipment and sizes including loaders excavators skid steers lifting equipment like zoom booms etc.
Large scale overhauls and rebuilds.
Replacing components.
Troubleshoot and diagnosing electrical mechanical and hydraulic faults.
Preventive maintenance and services.
Complete work according to the manufacturers specifications.
Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel.
Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
Keep equipment cleaned lubricated and maintained.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions.
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts components or systems.
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers specifications and legislated regulations.
Complete service reports.

Minimum Requirements:

Registered 4th Year Apprentice in Heavy Duty Mechanic trade
Experience in servicing maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and trucks.
WHMIS 2015
Telehandler considered an asset
Skidsteer considered an asset
ZoomBoom considered an asset
