Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Contractual Tax Return Analyst to support the processing of Individual and Fiduciary tax returns within the ITS system. This role requires strong research skills independent decision-making and the ability to review suspended returns for accuracy and compliance.
Pay: $18.00
Responsibilities
- Process Individual and Fiduciary tax returns in ITS.
- Independently research and analyze returns that have suspended for review.
- Review customer returns schedules cases and related documentation to make accurate determinations.
- Post determinations and adjustments to customer accounts while ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
- Notify customers of adjustments via written correspondence or electronic communication.
- Conduct extensive research related to deductions credits and payments.
- Generate billings and/or refunds based on findings and analysis.
- Assist customers through email and INTIME messages.
- Provide technical and procedural guidance to taxpayers attorneys CPAs and personal representatives.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry and research tasks.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency with computer-based systems; comfort with extensive screen time.
- Strong communication skills both written and electronic.
- Ability to interpret tax-related information (training provided).
Physical Requirements:
- Job frequently requires sitting handling objects with hands.
- Job occasionally requires standing walking reaching talking hearing and lifting up to 25 pounds.
