Job Summary

In-Room Dining & Minibar Manager

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the hotels in-room dining and minibar teams. This dynamic leadership position requires a blend of operational expertise financial acumen and a passion for delivering unforgettable guest experiences. You will collaborate closely with culinary stewarding and service teams to ensure smooth operations elevate service standards and drive guest satisfaction across the hotel.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage you will be overseeing all aspects of service in In-Room Dining and Minibar.
  • Provide warm sincere and engaging service ensuring we manage and foster the guest relationship
  • Ensure both In-Room Dining and Minibar teams consistently reflect the service standards set by the leadership team
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit through active on the floor communication training and coaching.
  • Lead the team through motivating coaching and monitoring the performance levels of all team members
  • Balance operational administrative and Colleague needs while maintaining floor presence
  • Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
  • Work together with the culinary service and stewarding team to ensure that all food service meets or exceeds guest expectations and to promote teamwork as a strong component of the daily service culture
  • Control stocks for daily use in the operation to ensure service requirements are met
  • Attend and participate in the daily Food and Beverage briefings and conduct daily shift briefings within your own operation
  • Performs daily checks on staffing level quality control maintenance and cleanliness
  • Follow up on guest complaints and share all guest comments with staff
  • To be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Performs any and all other tasks as assigned by management
  • Develop training programs for team members to ensure the continuous growth.
  • Adhere to the budgetary guidelines established for the operation (labor productivity revenue and expenses)
  • Create and innovate new ideas and promotion to generate revenue
  • Other duties as assigned

     


Qualifications :

What Were Looking For

  • Experience: At least 3 years in F&B management in a luxury (Forbes-rated) hotel or upscale restaurant environment. Direct In-Room Dining/Room Service experience is a definite asset.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead motivate and manage diverse teams across multiple departments.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting forecasting P&L management cost control and revenue generation.
  • Guest-Focused Attitude: Passion for guest service with a guest first mentality and the ability to anticipate needs and resolve concerns professionally.
  • Operational Expertise: Knowledge of F&B operations service standards inventory control and health & safety regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage effectively with guests team members and departments.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends late nights early mornings and holidays.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience working and leading within a unionized environment is a strong asset
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with recruitment and retention strategies for F&B staff
