Job Summary
1. **Lab Preparation**: Prepare the laboratory equipment materials and resources needed for practical sessions in accordance with the CBSE curriculum and specific lesson plans provided by teachers. This may involve setting up experiments organizing supplies and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the laboratory environment.
2. **Equipment Maintenance**: Maintain and care for laboratory equipment instruments and apparatus to ensure they are in good working condition. Conduct routine inspections calibrations and minor repairs as needed. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the appropriate authorities.
3. **Safety Compliance**: Ensure compliance with safety protocols guidelines and regulations while working in the laboratory. Implement proper safety measures such as wearing protective gear handling hazardous materials safely and following emergency procedures in case of accidents or incidents.
4. **Assistance during Practical Sessions**: Assist teachers and students during practical sessions by providing guidance demonstrations and technical support as needed. Help students set up experiments conduct observations record data and troubleshoot any problems they encounter.
5. **Inventory Management**: Maintain an inventory of laboratory supplies chemicals and equipment and assist in ordering stocking and organizing these items as necessary. Keep accurate records of inventory levels usage and replenishment to ensure availability of materials for practical activities.
6. **Lab Cleanliness and Organization**: Ensure the cleanliness tidiness and organization of the laboratory space. Clean and sanitize work surfaces equipment and glassware after each use. Arrange and store materials and equipment in designated areas to maintain an efficient and clutter-free environment.
7. **Documentation and Record-keeping**: Assist in documenting experimental procedures observations and results using laboratory notebooks data sheets or digital recording methods. Help students compile and organize their lab reports assignments and projects in accordance with CBSE guidelines and requirements.
8. **Assistance with Assessments**: Assist teachers in administering practical assessments and examinations in the laboratory including setting up test stations distributing materials supervising students and collecting completed assignments or answer sheets.
9. **Professional Development**: Participate in professional development activities workshops and training sessions related to laboratory techniques safety practices and educational technology tools. Stay updated on advancements in laboratory equipment and methodologies to enhance your skills and knowledge.
10. **Collaboration**: Collaborate with teachers other lab assistants and school administrators to support the overall goals and objectives of the science department and the school. Communicate effectively with colleagues and students to ensure smooth coordination and cooperation during laboratory activities.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Education or a related field. Teaching certification. Proven experience as a Primary Social science Teacher (1 - 3) years Excellent Communication Skills. Strong passion for education and fostering a love for Social Science in young learners Should have good knowledge of subject with good experience. Students handling skills in the classroom.
